The hotel that left the deepest impression on me in Hoi An — "Silk Sense

I have traveled to Hoi An about three times before and stayed at around five different hotels, but the "Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort" I stayed at this time was the best of them all.

Since most hotels in Hoi An are old buildings, we had a lot of bitter experiences even at 4-star luxury hotels—things like "the toilet wouldn't flush," "after taking a shower, the water leaked into the room," and "there were tons of ants.

If you don't want to have such regrets, we highly recommend 'Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort' for you!

Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort is a 5-star hotel located by the sea in Hoi An. It's less than a 15-minute drive from the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town.

The price is 2 million dong for one room (2 adults), so it's less than $100! It's so cheap! (Of course with breakfast buffet included)

The property isn't very large, but it has a big outdoor pool, and there's even a café open by the poolside. You can fully enjoy a tropical resort experience!

A spacious reception area. When I visited, there was a good balance of Westerners, Chinese, and Korean guests. The reception area also has a souvenir corner. It really puts you in a traveling mood♪

Personally, this juice I got as a welcome drink was so delicious!

This is what the room is like. The one I stayed in was a "Deluxe Garden Room." It's plenty spacious!

It even has a courtyard, of all things! At night I sat on the sofa and drank a beer ♪ It's the best!

And a luxurious marble bath.

I never imagined Hoi An hotels would have a capsule coffee machine! Of course it's free, and you can add capsules for everyone in your party once a day!

Also, besides coffee, cookies, nuts, juice, fruit, and more were all free!

This restaurant has two smaller cafés and one large main restaurant. The restaurant has a covered outdoor space, so eating there on a sunny day felt wonderfully Vietnamese and was really nice.

The breakfast variety was a bit limited, but since it was a buffet, you could eat to your heart's content, and there was an egg station and a kitchen that prepared various types of noodle dishes for you.

There was a wide variety of bread and oatmeal, and I was even able to bake my own pancakes (the jam that went with the bread also tasted homemade and delicious).

Since I only stayed one night, I spent the whole day from morning to evening at the hotel, and then went for a walk through Hoi An's old town in the evening. The next day, I enjoyed the hotel pool until checkout time (12 o'clock).

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, hotel rates have gone up, and most resort hotels in Da Nang now cost over $200. If you're a traveler who wants to stay affordably at a tropical-style resort hotel, please try staying at "Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort." We're sure you'll think, "This is a hotel I'd want to stay at again if I come back to Hoi An!
