🚨(Info) Power banks‼️ How many can I bring on a flight??
One of the most confusing things before a trip is definitely the rules for bringing power banks on board! To cut to the chase, you must 'absolutely' carry your power bank with you into the cabin. (No checking it in as baggage!) On top of that, using power banks during the flight has now been banned as well... Due to power banks catching fire Following an aircraft fire incident, the regulations on the number of portable chargers (power banks) you can bring on board have been strengthened for everyone's safety. So you're probably wondering just how many you're allowed to carry into the cabin... Let's take a look together at how many you can bring, based on the mAh rating we usually go by.

All passengers must strictly observe the following precautions for aircraft safety. ▪︎Must be carried in the cabin: Due to fire risk, portable power banks cannot be checked as baggage and must be carried by the passenger directly into the cabin. ▪︎Charging prohibited: To prevent in-flight fires, all domestic airlines prohibit the use of portable power banks during flight for Charging your device or charging the power bank itself is prohibited. ▪︎Capacity limit: The capacity and number of batteries allowed per person are fixed, so please check the airline's regulations once more before your trip.


1. Number of units allowed per capacity (general standard) 💡 The 10,000mAh~20,000mAh portable battery packs most of us commonly use are usually under 100Wh, so you can carry them on board without much worry. 2. How many Wh is my portable battery? (How to calculate) If your battery only shows the mAh rating, try using the formula below.

But the Wh unit was kind of confusing... So!! We converted it into mAh, the unit we usually use, to find out how much you can bring on board. ▪︎10,000mAh = 37Wh (up to 5 per person) ▪︎20,000mAh = 74Wh (up to 5 per person) ▪︎30,000mAh = 111Wh (exceeds 100Wh! airline approval required, usually up to 2 allowed) 💡Wait a moment~!!! ▪︎How many mAh is the 100Wh carry-on limit? Calculated based on the standard voltage of a typical power bank (3.7V): 100Wh = about 27,027mAh. There are also 27,000mAh power banks sold on the market... but they're quite heavy, so portability suffers. 3. Types of batteries prohibited from being brought in ▪︎ High-capacity batteries: Products exceeding the standard limit of 160Wh ▪︎ Damaged batteries: Products that are swollen (a phenomenon known as swelling) or physically damaged are prohibited due to the high risk of fire ▪︎ Uncertified batteries: Products from unidentified brands or without a safety certification mark

4. Precautions (please be sure to check!) ▪︎Label check required: If the capacity printed on the battery surface is worn off and cannot be confirmed, it may be confiscated at the security checkpoint.
