Ultra-fast in-flight Wi-Fi from a domestic airline? Five Hanjin Group airlines, including Korean Air (@koreanair), will be the first in Korea to adopt SpaceX's (@spacex) satellite internet service, Starlink (@starlink.oficial), as their in-flight Wi-Fi. Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jin Air, Air Busan, Star wifi in-flight system by Starlink is set to be gradually applied to Air Seoul aircraft. Starlink is characterized by exchanging data at speeds of up to 500Mbps using more than 8,000 low-orbit satellites. After a period of preparation work and testing for introduction starting later this year, it is expected to become available in stages from as early as the third quarter of 2026. Starlink is a satellite internet service operated by SpaceX, the aerospace company led by Elon Musk. It aims to provide high-speed internet anywhere in the world by utilizing thousands of small satellites positioned in low Earth orbit (LEO).
