We rode a Grab motorbike for about 40 minutes from the town center, and it felt like a scenic drive — it was the best! From the moment we went up on what's said to be the world's longest cable car, the sheer scale was extraordinary and amazing, and the European-style theme park atmosphere spread out at the mountain's summit felt wonderfully exotic. The Golden Bridge, which I'd looked forward to the most, was far more overwhelming to see in person with its enormous hand sculpture, but there were so many people that snapping a solo photo requires a real battle of wits to catch the right moment. Being at high altitude, it was much cooler and more pleasant than downtown Da Nang, which was lovely, but mountain weather is fickle — the fog rolls in and then clears — so it's a good idea to bring a light jacket. With plenty to enjoy like the luge (alpine coaster) and indoor rides, it's perfect for a full-day trip, though the food court and restaurant prices are on the expensive side for the local area given the admission fee. Since it gets so crowded, I recommend setting out early in the morning, and it's an absolutely wonderful place to spend a day during your Da Nang trip to take in the unusual scenery and capture that once-in-a-lifetime shot.
