[Da Nang Review ✈️] Touring Nam Son Temple

March 2025 Da Nang trip with my beautiful girlfriend ✈️ On our way to Hoi An in the rental car with our driver, she mentioned she still hadn't been to Marble Mountains (Linh Ung Pagoda), so we ended up making an impromptu visit there.

In early March, Da Nang's weather is breezy and not too hot, so even shots taken from inside a moving car captured Mikeʼs Beach beautifully. There's a bit of a distance from downtown Da Nang to Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son) — it took about a 20 to 30 minute drive to reach Marble Mountains.

No entrance fee! There is a dress code! Short shorts are not allowed for men or women! Sleeveless tops are not allowed! Instead, you can borrow a monk's robe placed at the entrance and put it on over your clothes before entering. After entering the temple and crossing the bridge, there are lockers where you can store your personal belongings, so feel free to use them if needed.

The temple isn't huge in scale, but there are so many beautiful photo spots everywhere~ Since it's an actual temple where you can stay overnight and take part in offerings/meals, it's incredibly well maintained. When you're looking around the temple, absolute silence is a must!! You have to move around quietly~ Maybe that's why it felt even more serene and peaceful to me.

About 30 minutes should be enough time to look around the pretty temple ^^ On the last day of your trip, a course of Yeonghungsa Temple, Nam-eun Temple, and downtown Da Nang would be nice too, and if your trip is long, it would be great to visit leisurely sometime during your travels. I'm not sure if they raise them right at the temple... When it's feeding time, an auntie brings out balls of rice and feeds the pigeons, fish, and turtles. These little ones gathered on their own to eat, isn't that so cute?! 😆 I just kept watching her for a while, haha. I even took a video of the airplane flying across the sky. I'm not totally sure, but my friend told me it's the flight path coming down to Da Nang Airport~ Maybe that's why it looked so close. At times like this, even if just for a moment, I feel like I've gone back to being a kid again.
