From Hanoi's St. Joseph's Cathedral to alley night scenery, a full day of walking around Hanoi meaningfully ☕️🏛️

It was a day when I leisurely walked through the heart of downtown Hanoi, enjoying the landmarks and the charm of the alleyways. If Danang feels like a representative resort destination that is cleanly well-organized, then compared to Danang, Hanoi seems less developed, yet it has a thick, raw local character and sentiment seeping through every alley, which was truly charming.... The first place I visited was Saint Joseph's Cathedral. I'm not Catholic, but even when traveling domestically, I love the quiet yet distinctive atmosphere unique to cathedrals. The St. Joseph's Cathedral I came across abroad was just as captivating — its weathered facade and grandeur, carrying the marks of time, made me stop and gaze at it for quite a while. Grabbing a refreshing cup of coffee nearby and admiring the cathedral view was really lovely. ☕️ Alley strolls and local shops: Weaving through alleys constantly bustling with motorbikes and people, I had so much fun browsing the many charming souvenir shops and clothing stores tucked in between. Romantic night view: once the sun went down, a completely different atmosphere unfolded from the daytime. Soft lighting glowed from every pub and café along the alleyways, making it the perfect way to end the day with a leisurely night walk. 🏮 Unlike a glamorous resort vacation, it was a day where I could fully soak in Hanoi's own old-world charm and deep local character.
