Danang trip review ✈️ Making Banh Cuon my own way🤭
One of my friend's favorite foods in Vietnam is banh cuon! The hotel breakfast restaurant only had banh cuon, so it passed as a great breakfast spot, haha. It wasn't at Jolly Mart, so I bought it at Lotte Mart, and it cost about 40,000 dong. But... when I actually tried to make banh cuon, it was pictured clearly in my head, but it turned out to be harder than I expected. The recipe for making it was a bit complicated. For the bánh xèo flour, I also mixed it into a thin watery batter, spread it thinly as if frying, closed the lid, and steamed it — but the batter needs to steam into a nice chewy texture, so it took a lot of effort 😅. In the end, I gave up on making a pretty shape and just decided to make bánh xèo however I wanted 🤣. It's delicious served with stir-fried king oyster mushrooms and vegetables, and it's also delicious dipped in nước mắm sauce. Even though I failed at making a perfect bánh xèo, My husband ate it happily, so I'd say it's half a success 😁 PS I'm never buying it again!🤣 I ate plenty in Danang, so today's is for that reason ^^
