First Impressions of Denmark: A City of Cycling Art Copenhagen's first impression is somewhat polarizing. The streets aren't as clean as one might imagine, there are quite a few potholes in the roads, and cigarette butts and litter can occasionally be spotted; but on the other hand, the neatly arranged buildings, the arcade-free streets, and the hanging street lamp designs reveal a strong sense of Nordic minimalist aesthetics. This place truly deserves the name "Bicycle Kingdom" — you can hardly see motorcycles or cars on the streets, but instead there are riders of all ages weaving through everywhere, and you can even see fathers jogging while pushing a stroller, which brings a warm smile to your face. People here are generally kind and friendly, and service staff almost always greet you or help you on their own initiative. In Freetown, you can feel the artistic atmosphere filling the streets — the graffiti on the walls and the statues in front of the church all make you want to stop and admire them. However, please note: on Sundays, most shops are only open until early evening, and Monday is the closing day for most museums, so please plan your itinerary accordingly. 2. Itinerary: Overview of the Two-Day Copenhagen Trip We arrive at Copenhagen Airport on Saturday evening, spend all of Sunday exploring the city by bicycle, and on Monday morning visit Freetown Christiania and the church before flying to Helsinki. Itinerary Preparation (Transportation Information) Airport to City Center Transfers Taking the metro takes only about 13 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at DSB ticket machines. Fare is 36 DKK.

Getting Around the City You can rent a bicycle or take the 2A bus (tickets can be purchased via the DOT Tickets App, one-way fare 24 DKK). We tested it ourselves and found cycling to be extremely efficient for getting around, and it also lets you explore the small alleys in depth.

IV. Food and Accommodation Experience Sharing Food Experience: Smørrebrød Open-Faced Sandwiches We tried classic Danish cuisine at the well-known Restaurant Kronborg, which focuses mainly on seafood, and we especially recommend the pickled herring and the fish sandwich. Although a meal costs nearly NT$2,000, the ingredients are fresh and the flavor is unique, making it well worth trying.

View larger map Accommodation share: Annex Copenhagen Room type: self-catering hostel, we stayed in a basic room (shared bathroom) Price: 5500 TWD for two nights Review: convenient transportation but the space is a bit small; the friends next door stayed in a suite (6400 TWD for two nights) which was noticeably more spacious, so we'd suggest considering an upgrade.
