Table of Contents First Impressions of Denmark Itinerary Trip Preparation (Transportation Guide) Food and Accommodation Experience Sharing Tips and Practical Information 1. First Impressions of Denmark: A City of Cycling Art Copenhagen's first impression is somewhat mixed. The streets aren't as clean as imagined, with quite a few potholes on the roads, and cigarette butts and litter are occasionally seen; on the other hand, the neat rows of buildings, arcade-free streets, and hanging streetlight designs reveal a strong Nordic minimalist aesthetic. This place truly deserves the title of "Bicycle Kingdom" — you can hardly see any motorcycles or cars on the streets, but there are plenty of riders of all ages weaving through, and I even saw a dad jogging while pushing a stroller, which made me smile. People here are generally warm and friendly, with staff almost always greeting or helping you proactively. In Freetown you can feel an artistic atmosphere filling the streets — the graffiti on the walls and the statues in front of the church make you want to stop and admire them. However, please note that most shops are only open until evening on Sundays, and most museums are closed on Mondays, so it's recommended to plan your itinerary accordingly. 2. Itinerary: Overview of the Two-Day Copenhagen Trip We arrive at Copenhagen Airport on Saturday evening, spend all of Sunday exploring the city by bicycle, and on Monday morning visit Freetown Christiania and the church before flying to Helsinki. The itinerary is as follows: Day 1|An In-Depth Cycling Experience of Copenhagen The Little Mermaid Statue and Kastellet Fortress Changing of the Guard at Amalienborg Palace In-depth visit to Christiansborg Palace (Royal Reception Rooms, Royal Stables, ruins, kitchens) Stroll along Copenhagen's harbor pedestrian street & experience local bars at night Day 2 | Copenhagen Half-Day Tour & Fly to Helsinki Explore Freetown Christiania Climb the spiral tower of Our Saviour's Church for a panoramic view of the city SAS flight to Helsinki, Finland 3. Itinerary Preparation (Transportation Notes) Airport to City Center Round Trip Taking the metro takes only about 13 minutes; tickets can be purchased at the DSB ticket machine, priced at 36 DKK.

Getting around the city: You can rent a bicycle or take Bus 2A (you can buy tickets via the DOT Tickets App, one-way is 24 DKK). We tested it ourselves and found the bicycle to be extremely efficient for getting around, letting us explore deep into the back alleys too.

4. Food and Accommodation Experience Sharing Food Experience: Smørrebrød Open-Faced Sandwich We experienced classic Danish cuisine at the well-known restaurant Restaurant Kronborg, which focuses mainly on seafood, and we especially recommend the pickled herring and fish sandwich. Although a meal costs nearly NT$2,000, the ingredients are fresh and the flavors are unique, making it worth a try.

Our friend next door stayed in a suite (6400 TWD for two nights), and the space was noticeably more spacious — I'd suggest considering an upgrade.
