[Nha Trang Travel Diary] "Havana Hotel" Stay Experience | Introducing the Hotel Situation

This time, we'll introduce the "Havana Hotel," where we stayed in Nha Trang. We'll also share some tips for choosing a hotel in Nha Trang city. What kind of hotels can you stay at in Nha Trang?

When staying at a hotel in Nha Trang, the main area is beachfront Tran Phu Street, and one or two blocks further into town is the bustling downtown area, lined with many 3-star and 4-star hotels. Because of this, there are few resort hotels with vast grounds—keep in mind that hotels here are basically building-style hotels.   If you'd like to stay at a resort hotel, there are several luxury resort hotels heading north from the city center, hotels on outlying islands, or 5-star resort hotels in an area south of Nha Trang called Cam Ranh. The budget for hotels in Nha Trang is surprisingly cheap!

We have visited Nha Trang 7 to 8 times over the past decade or so, and each time we feel that hotels there are really affordable. Resort hotels can be pricey, but there are several 4-star and even 5-star hotels right in the heart of the busy downtown area where you can stay for around 10,000 yen, and among the 3-star level hotels in town, we often come across places where you can stay for around 5,000 yen. We stayed at the beachfront 5-star hotel "Havana Nha Trang"!

This time, we stayed at the 5-star "Havana Hotel" on Chan Fu Street. Since it's a hotel by the sea, we recommend choosing a room with an ocean view. By the way, the room we stayed in cost 6,000 yen per night. Things to note when booking the Havana Hotel The Havana Hotel offers two types of booking: "Hotel Stay" and "Apartment Stay. Apartment-style accommodation is a system in which an individual owner who has purchased a room within a hotel rents out that room, and in recent years this has become a booking format often seen on sites like Agoda. Without realizing this difference, we ended up booking an apartment room instead of a hotel room. As a result, ・No bed-making service is provided (and no bath towel exchange either) ・The pool inside the hotel is free, but bath towels cost extra ・WiFi was quite unstable These were the points that concerned me as drawbacks. The breakfast buffet was available, so it wasn't a major complaint, but those expecting hotel-like service should be cautious. If comfort and facilities are important to you, I recommend making sure at the time of booking that it is indeed a "hotel stay plan.    Hotel Havana Nha Trang | The room is great! The ocean view is the best!

I expected to stay in a cheap room, but it was more than spacious enough. On top of that, it truly had an ocean view, which was great. With hotels in Vietnam, an "ocean view" often means you can only glimpse a sliver of the sea, or your view is blocked by the building in front — but this place was really the right choice.

The room was a twin bedroom with its own bath. There were no issues with the shower's water pressure or temperature. The bathtub can also be filled properly with hot water. The Havana Hotel's signature feature! Head up to the rooftop skylight!

Havana Hotel is popular not only with locals but also with Vietnamese people and Westerners who aren't even staying there. Here's the secret behind that: it's a restaurant & bar called "Skylight," which operates on the rooftop of Havana Hotel. The rooftop is divided into an open-air restaurant area and a club area, and you're free to move between both. Restaurant area

It's a restaurant area with a great atmosphere. There's an open-air area and an indoor area. Since they had food like pizza, steak, and Vietnamese cuisine, we ended up having cocktails, beer, pizza, and hamburgers (^^♪

This is a bit scary.

This is a bit scary…… A transparent glass floor. There does seem to be a security guard standing nearby, and it looks like there's a limit of only 2 people allowed on it at a time. The club area looks like this

This is what the club area looks like. The atmosphere is completely different from the restaurant area. The clientele was mainly Vietnamese and Westerners, and among Asians, most were Korean. It seems that events are held regularly, inviting famous DJs from Vietnam. It might be nice for younger visitors to enjoy it once ♪ Here's what the breakfast buffet at Havana Hotel looks like

The breakfast buffet was pretty great! There was a good variety, and it wasn't just Vietnamese food — there was a nice balance of Western and Asian dishes too. They also had bread, cheese, oatmeal, and more, so even light eaters should be satisfied in the morning. Summary and next time's preview... Choosing a hotel in Nha Trang requires care. This was actually my second time staying at the Havana Hotel.Havana Hotel is located right in the heart of downtown, and the night market is within walking distance. There are plenty of other 3-star and 4-star hotels in this area too, but no matter how much I search online, I can't find any information at all about the inside of the hotel, its services, or its facilities—so in the end, I keep ending up staying at Havana Hotel.So when you're choosing a hotel in Nha Trang, be sure to check blogs and review sites other than the hotel's official website to gather real, honest information.
