[Phu Quoc] Riding the world's longest overwater cable car and visiting the water park

I visited Hon Thom Island in Phu Quoc. You can take the world's longest sea cable car, which takes about 15 minutes one way, and enjoy an incredible panoramic view as if you're flying over the ocean. (I've also been to Ba Na Hills in Da Nang, and while the Ba Na Hills cable car is much longer, I think Hon Thom Island is special because its cable car actually runs over the sea.) *Check operating hours is a must: The cable car has a closure for maintenance and lunch break during the day (usually between 11:30–13:00 or 12:00–13:30), so to avoid getting stuck, we recommend riding it early in the morning (before 9 AM). * Ticket-buying tip: The on-site ticket booth has long lines and higher prices, so if you book online in advance on your phone (QR code), you can skip the wait entirely and go straight to the boarding area. I bought mine from the front desk staff at the hotel I was staying at. You can also purchase through apps like Klook. + Tip for exploring the island: On Hon Thom Island, the Aquatopia Water Park slides may restrict riders wearing swimsuits with zippers or rash guards, so please bring a plain (zipper-free) swimsuit. * Recommended return timing: After you've enjoyed the island long enough, if you catch the cable car back between 4:00 and 4:45 PM, you can admire the fantastic orange sunset over the West Sea through the panoramic window and capture some amazing shots. But personally, I left around 3 PM to avoid the crowded hours, and I actually found it much more relaxed that way. The craft beer included with each ticket (brewed at Sun World) — go for the dark ale. It's smooth and honestly really delicious.
