Rewatching the Sapa episode of 'Punghyanggo' on YouTube brought back so many memories. Since I had visited there before that episode aired, I decided to look through some photos to reminisce. The atmosphere was 180 degrees different from typical Vietnamese vacation spots like Da Nang, and it offered a truly exotic landscape that is hard to find even in Korea. It was also the highest altitude destination I've ever visited abroad. A chilly alpine climate, even in June: Even though I visited in June, because the altitude was so high, it was quite cold with both rain and wind. I’m so glad I didn't let my guard down just because it's Southeast Asia and made sure to pack an extra layer. 🌧️🧥 Cat Cat Village & Terraced Rice Fields: The endless terraced rice fields stretching along the mountainside and the misty mountain village scenery were both dreamy and exotic. Ethnic Minority Culture & Night Market: It was a lot of fun exploring the locals in their traditional costumes, unique souvenirs, and the vibrant atmosphere of the night markets held every night. Warm local food: The hot stir-fry dishes and local foods enjoyed in the chilly weather were just perfect for melting away the cold. 🍲 The weather was unpredictable and chilly, but thanks to the mystical scenery that felt like walking above the clouds, it remains one of my most memorable and special travel destinations. If you want to experience a different side of Vietnam, I recommend Sapa! 😊
