Sky36 – The highest sky bar in Da Nang, a truly distinctive "above the clouds" experience

I used to think rooftop bars in Da Nang were just a place to sit and sip drinks while looking at the view for the sake of it. But my visit to Sky36 completely changed the way I think.

My real experience

Sky36 is located on floors 35–37 of Novotel Premier Danang Han River hotel (36 Bạch Đằng). From the moment you step into the glass elevator and watch the city gradually shrink below your feet, you already feel that "wow." Up to the 36th floor outdoor, a 360-degree view unfolds: the winding Han River, Dragon Bridge, Han River Bridge, the whole city with twinkling lights, and far away is the sea.

I arrived around 6:30 pm to catch the sunset. At that time the sunlight was still golden, the sea breeze was blowing gently, and the atmosphere was quite chill. Around 8 PM, the DJ music starts getting louder, dancers take the stage, LED lights shine brightly. The atmosphere transforms from relaxing to lively very noticeably. There's quite an impressive fire dance show later in the evening.

The space is clearly divided:

- Floor 35: Indoor lounge, VIP, easier to sit and chat.

- Floor 36: Open air, main stage, central bar counter – the most crowded and happening spot.

- Floor 37: Party area, the view is also beautiful.

I sat out on the balcony on the 36th floor and ordered a signature cocktail. Looking down at the Han River at night was truly beautiful. Especially if you come on the weekend, you can see the Dragon Bridge breathing fire from up high – it's a pretty "unique" view.

The advantage I like the most

- View is our #1 strength. The highest in Da Nang right now, with a sweeping view of almost the entire city.

- Spacious area, with both a chill zone and a dance zone.

- Sound – modern lighting, quite professional show.

- The atmosphere is upscale but not too "picky" about who fits in, still a fun place to enjoy with a group of friends.

Drawbacks to know

- Prices aren't cheap. Cocktails typically start at 200–400k and up (happy hour from 18–21h can be a bit more reasonable). Some entry packages with 1 drink run around 200–500k depending on the time.

Weekends are quite crowded, and since I want a nice seat, I'd like to book a table in advance.

The EDM/house music is quite loud, so it's a bit noisy if you want to talk privately (it's better to choose the indoor lounge area or a corner far from the stage).

Some people's food reviews are just okay, not a highlight.

A little tip from experience

You should arrive between 6 PM and 7 PM so you can both watch the sunset and grab a good spot.

Wear whatever feels comfortable, but something a little neat and put-together will suit the atmosphere better.

If you just want to chill and take in the view, sit out by the railing. If you want to party, stand near the stage.

In summary: Sky36 is not a place where “going once is enough” in a check-in-and-done kind of way. It's truly a standout nightlife experience in Da Nang – with a beautiful view and a vibrant atmosphere at the same time. If you're looking for a special place to end the day in this coastal city, I think Sky36 is worth trying at least once.
