Trekking in Bà Nà Forest: 3 routes for 3 difficulty levels, no cable car ticket needed

Ba Na is famous for the Sun World area at its peak with the Golden Bridge. But few people know that at the foot of Ba Na Mountain lies a primeval forest belonging to Ba Na - Nui Chua National Park, with 3 trekking routes for different skill levels. Entry is free, and no cable car ticket is required.

Route 1 (easy, 2-3h): From the forest ranger station to Toc Tien Waterfall. Clear trail, gentle slope. There's a stream to swim in along the way. Suitable for families with kids aged 8+. Route 2, medium difficulty (5-6h): From the station to Chua Peak (1487m). Steep 40° slopes, with sections where you need to hold onto trees for support. Enjoy the view of Da Nang city from the summit without needing a cable car.

Route 3 (Difficult, 2 days): Trek through the forest, camp overnight, and come down the next day via the old trail. You need to hire a guide (500,000 VND/day). Register in advance at the Ba Na forest ranger station. The rainy season (October–March) is dangerous — only go during the dry season, April–September.
