Trekking in Bach Ma National Park — A green route near Da Nang

Bach Ma National Park is about 65km north of downtown Da Nang, making it the closest trekking spot to the city that still retains its pristine, untouched beauty. At an altitude of 1,450 meters with a temperate climate, Bach Ma boasts a rich primary forest ecosystem with more than 2,100 plant species and 132 animal species, including many rare species such as the red-shanked douc langur and the crested argus.

Popular trekking routes include the trail up to Ngu Ho (Five Lakes), the trail up to Hai Vong Dai peak, and the famous Do Quyen Waterfall route. The trail winds through the damp forest, crossing clear streams and large boulders covered in green moss — a landscape that makes trekkers feel as if they've stepped into a nature documentary. Day tours from Da Nang usually depart at 6:00 AM, arrive at the foot of the mountain by 7:30, trek for about 4–6 hours, and return to the city before evening.
