Motorbike touring in Son Tra: a 45km loop map, a view every 5 minutes

Son Tra is a forested peninsula in the northeast of Da Nang, with a circumference of about 45 km. The only way to explore it fully: a motorbike of 125cc or more (the slopes are very steep, and electric scooters can't climb them). Bike rental is 150,000–200,000 VND/day in the An Thuong area, and requires a deposit of 500,000 VND plus a copy of your passport.
Suggested tour route: Depart from Linh Ung Temple (67m Buddha statue) → Travel along the southern coastal road → Black Stone Beach (striking black rocks + sea views) → Ban Co Peak (700m elevation, 360° views) → Thousand-year-old banyan tree (featuring giant root system) → American radar station (highest peak) → Descend via the northern road → Return to Linh Ung.
Total time: 3-4 hours if taking photos. Go between 7:00-11:00 AM to avoid the midday sun and have a chance to see brown-legged langurs (an endemic primate species). Bring a hat, sunglasses, water, and closed-toe shoes. Fill up with gas before heading up because there are no gas stations on the island.
